Requirements*

  • Job offer or employment contract from a registered Thai company
  • Passport valid for at least 18 months
  • Letter of invitation from your employer
  • Company documents: affidavit, VAT registration, and list of shareholders
  • Educational certificates and professional qualifications
  • Passport-size photographs

Our Process

  1. 1

    Secure a Thai employer

Your employer must be a registered Thai company willing to sponsor your visa and work permit application.

  2. 2

    Gather your documents

Collect your employment contract, educational certificates, and company documents. Foreign documents must be legalized before submission.

  3. 3

    Apply for Non-Immigrant B visa

Apply at a Thai embassy or consulate in your home country, or convert from another visa type inside Thailand if eligible.

  4. 4

    Apply for your work permit

Once in Thailand on a Non-B visa, your employer applies for your work permit at the Department of Employment. Work is only legal after the permit is issued.

  5. 5

    Annual renewal

Renew your visa and work permit each year. Our agent accompanies you to the immigration office to handle paperwork on the day.

  6. 6

    90-day reporting

Report your address to immigration every 90 days while residing in Thailand. We can file this on your behalf.

Working in Thailand without the right visa and work permit is a serious legal risk for both you and your employer. The process requires coordination between Thai immigration and the Department of Employment, and your employer must provide a complete set of company documents before anything can move forward.

Foreign degree certificates and other personal documents typically need to be officially legalized before they are accepted. One missing or incorrectly prepared document is enough to delay the entire application.

Visa Siam manages the full process and our agent attends immigration in person with you on the day, so nothing is left to chance.
